W. William Ott

Chief Financial Officer

As Production Manager for Sage Age Strategies, Bill utilizes his unique gifted talent of his management skills, professionalism and dedication in his position. Bill focuses on both the internal workings at Sage Age and the external production process. While many of us focus on the projects at hand, Bill skillfully oversees all projects. Working in conjunction with Account Managers, the Vice President of Creative Services and the Creative Director, Bill oversees all in-house production, managing the flow of the creative work to meet deadlines.

Bill is an integral part of each project from the onset-providing the initial estimate of the job, and assuring consistency in design, type style, logo placement, paper stock, colors and inks, etc. Beyond the agency, Bill manages the process by scheduling the print production with our outside vendors, color separators, photographers, service bureaus/film output companies and others. His involvement assures consistency, quality and timely deliveries.

"I really enjoy the Production Management position because it allows me an opportunity to help shape the product at every stage of the creative process. Seeing the end result is especially exciting when you realize all the collaborative creative effort it took to reach that point. People are a company's most important asset," says Bill, "At Sage Age, we are fortunate to have talented, devoted people on board. What really gives me satisfaction is the moment when the client says they are excited about the material. That makes it all worthwhile."

A stalwart advocate of community support, Bill has volunteered extensively over the years. He was a member of the board of Hope Enterprises, served on the membership committee for the Chamber of Commerce and was a church council member at St. Boniface Parish. He also volunteered as a board member of the YMCA and as Vice President of the Lycoming County Food Bank.

Bill co-founded The Lessig Group in August, 1986, and came on board as a full-time associate in January, 1990. In 1992, Bill became the General Manager of the Commercial Printing and Direct Mail Division of The Lessig Group. He was involved in every aspect of plant operation from final approval on pricing through project preparation, printing and delivery of the finished product. After a brief departure in 1995 to act as Interim Director of the Lycoming United Way, Bill returned to The Lessig Group in late 1996 as Executive Vice President/COO.

Bill received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University. He worked as a CPA for Price Waterhouse in Washington, D.C. and he also worked in the accounting field for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, assisting in the establishment of 24 Pennsylvania Personal Income Tax offices. Using his financial background and management skills, he owned and managed a local radio station for over 13 years. In his spare time, Bill, a true golf enthusiast, can be found on the links from May through September. He also enjoys spending time at his beach home in Fripp Island, SC with friends. Where? On the golf course.
