McCormick is a leader in converting the vision and mission of a foundation into reality. Mr. McCormick established the McCormick Group in 1982 with the sole purpose of facilitating organizational structure and providing services in foundation development to qualifying organizations.

Mr. McCormick has written and published several articles concerning foundation development and leadership as well as two books, including Creating Foundations for American Schools and Non Profit Mergers: The Power of Successful Partnerships.

He was the host and moderator of the Michigan Governor's Summit on Education Conference 1998. He has also presented numerous seminars and lectures, including presentations for the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA), National Association of School Boards, the American Association of School Administrators (AASA), National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA), the California Coalition of Foundations, and International Fish and Wildlife conferences. In June of 1996, Mr. McCormick, at the request of the Moscow Department of Education, presented lectures in Moscow on philanthropy. He is currently recognized as the leading consultant in foundation development and non-profit mergers in America.
